The service outsourcing industry saw vigorous growth and created 200,000 occupations last year. On February 23rd, Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province together with Department of Education of Guangdong Province held a Recruitment Fair of Key Outsourcing Enterprises in Guangdong Province to publicize the development potential of service outsourcing to college students.

It is said that in 2013, the provincial outsourcing contracts amount was 10.654 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%, occupying 11.2% of the national total amount. And there were 207,000 new employees in outsourcing. By the end of year 2013, there were 843,000 employees in this industry across the province, including 460,000 with university (college) or above education.

On the recruitment fair, there were over 30 famous outsourcing enterprises participated. There the reporter also found that there were misunderstandings among college students who regarding service outsourcing as customer service or even delivery.
