In the first quarter, the total number of the service outsourcing contracts was 489 with a total value of 530 million USD and an executive value of 470 million USD， up 78.5 percent, 74.6 percent and 35.8 percent respectively over levels of a year ago. Of all the contracts, the number of the offshore outsourcing contracts was 362 with a total value of 470 million USD and an executive value of 370 million USD, up 56.7 percent and 58.7 percent respectively over levels of a year ago. The number of the onshore outsourcing contracts was 127 with a total value of 60 million USD and an executive value of 40 million USD, up 195.3 percent, 555.2 percent and 259.6 percent respectively over levels of a year ago.

Firstly, the business entity was growing steadily. Compared to the previous year, the total number of the outsourcing enterprises topped 600 with 42 newly added. The number of the enterprises which conducted offshore service outsourcing business was 104 with 18 newly added compared to the previous year. There were 7 enterprises whose executive value was over ten million USD.

Secondly，the scale of the employment continued to expand. A total of 9300 new jobs were created in Qingdao service outsourcing industry with 5000 college and above degree holders. The employment number added up to 159000 and college and above degree holders accounted for 61 percent of the total number.

Thirdly, ITO took over central position. The total contract value of the ITO was 170 million USD with an executive value of 180 million USD, up 3.1 percent and 33.6 percent respectively, which accounted for 50 percent of the total value of the city’s offshore outsourcing industry.

Fourthly, the international provider market continued to expand. The number of the source lands which undertook offshore service outsourcing was 58 with 18 newly added compared to the same period of last year. There were 7 countries (districts) whose executive value of offshore outsourcing was over ten million USD. The executive value undertaking Japanese offshore outsourcing was over one hundred million USD.
