China’s First Modern Urban Service Development Blue Paper Issued

At the Central Urban Work Conference closed recently, changing urban development and improving urban management system became a common understanding. On the afternoon of December 26, the First China Modern Urban Service Development Summit was held in Guangzhou. More than 100 participants from governments, research institutions and enterprises discussed the development and concept of modern urban service industry at the meeting.
China Modern Urban Service Development Blue Paper(2015) jointly compiled by China Information Technology Industry Federation (CITIF), Guangdong Modern Information Service Industry Association (GDMISA) and Asia-pacific Innovation Economic Research Institute of Guangdong was released at the meeting. As China’s first blue paper on the field, it proposed the definition and connotation of modern service industry. According to the Blue Paper, modern urban service is the core force to drive green, ecological and smart urban development, the important channel to realize cultural, intelligent, modern, efficient and high-quality urban management, and the technical support to improve urban service operation and realize systematic, professional, marketized, informatized, standardized and platform-based urban service system. To have a correct understanding to modern urban service is an important precondition for properly making modern urban service development plan and meeting the demands to modern service demands during urbanization. Modern urban services should establish the vision of “more scientific in development, more intelligent in management and more beautiful in life” in the future.
It is learn that China Modern Urban Service Development Summit was jointly organized by China Information Technology Industry Federation (CITIF), Guangdong Modern Information Service Industry Association (GDMISA), Guangdong Association of Young Scientists, Guangzhou Headquarters Economy Association and Guangzhou Radio Group. Representatives from relevant departments of the people’s governments of Guangdong province and Guangzhou municipality attended the meeting.
