Pudong to hold intl cross-border e-commerce payment fair

Pudong is planning on holding the 2015 Shanghai international cross-border electronic commerce and payment fair in June at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong, attracting domestic and international enterprises in payment businesses, e-commerce, and import & export trading, as well as creating a platform for international exchanges.

With the Internet penetrating every corner of life, and rapid development of e-business and mobile communication, payment industries have seen robust growth. The 2015 fair is providing chances for brand showcase and investment attraction.

The fair contains two parts. The cross-border e-commerce display area will invite overseas retailers, e-commerce traders, import & export traders, leading domestic e-commerce institutions, and international logistics and transfer companies to put up their stalls.

The payment display area will gather payment enterprises in Internet and mobile payment, terminal transaction, ATM transaction, other third-party payment and financial services.

With global economic integration deepening, cross-border e-commerce businesses including e-commerce trade, logistics and finance have grown rapidly across the world.

E-commerce business is also growing in China, generating a turnover of $21.4 billion in 2014, up 33.3 percent compared to that of 2013, with online payments of over 3.6 trillion yuan ($577.4 billion) and mobile payments of over 200 billion yuan.
