Chen Jianhua Meets with FedEx Express Asia Pacific President

On January 12, 2015, Chen Jianhua, Mayor of Guangzhou, met with Dr. Karen Reddington, president of Asia Pacific Division of Fedex Express at the municipal government.
 
Chen welcomed Dr. Reddington and the other guests from Fedex Express. He said since settled in Guangzhou, Fedex Asia-Pacific Hub has enjoyed stable growth of cargo volume and continuous expansion of businesses while Guangzhou has set up a global logistic network through Fedex Express. Guangzhou has given priority to building an international hub of air transportation. The e-commerce and freight logistics has accelerated development and the third runway of Baiyun International Airport will be put into service soon. It is expected that Fedex will vigorously expand businesses in Guangzhou and carry out cooperation and exchanges with Guangzhou on a larger scale and higher level.
 
Dr. Reddington congratulated Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on the upcoming commencement of the third runway. She said Fedex will be dedicated to building a world-level hub with high standards and high efficiency in Guangzhou. She expected to see common development of Fedex in Asia Pacific and Guangzhou aviation logistics in a long term.
 
Jimmy Chen, Regional Vice President for Domestic Express Operations in China, also attended the meeting.
