By the end of last year, the sci-tech financial center had issued 1,413 recommendation tables to 788 enterprises, 496 loan confirmation letters for 418 enterprises which received loans of 4.24 billion yuan from banks. Guangzhou also became one of Chinese cities with the biggest credit scale granted to small- and medium-sized sci-tech enterprises.

Enterprises which have received the loans include 303 high-tech ones, or 72.5% of the total, and 90 ones listed in the New Third Board, accounting for over 1/5 of the total. And 125 medium-, small- and micro-enterprises made their first loans, accounting for 30% of the total.

Small- and medium-sized sci-tech enterprises, featuring low assets and few pawns, has had difficulties in getting loans from banks. With the support of the risk compensation fund pool, 312 enterprises, or 75% of the total enterprises, received credit loans of 2.826 billion yuan, or 67% of total credit in the fund pool, exemption from real asset pledges.
