The city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, will hold the first China-Central and Eastern Europe Investment and Trade Expo from June 8 to 12, according to the Chinese-language Ningbo Daily.

With a theme of "expanding cooperation to promote the development of the countries along the Silk Road", the Expo will host a string of investment symposiums, trade exhibitions, business forums and cultural exchange activities.

Sponsors of the Expo are Ministry of Commerce, Zhejiang provincial government and Ningbo municipal government. As the highlight of the Expo, the Central and Eastern Europe Commodity Fair will be held at the Ningbo International Convention Center with an exhibition area of about 10,000 square meters.
