The government has added five suppliers to its cloud services procurement panel.
********** chief technology officer John Sheridan today announced that Bang the Table, Bulletproof Networks, Hitachi Data Systems Australia, NTT Com ICT DC Solutions, and Veritec had been added to the panel.
Late last month the government announced that BravoSolution, CTO Group, Dell, Kloud Solutions, Nextgen Networks, Oakton, Objective Corporation Ltd, ServiceNow and Technology One had joined the panel as part of the third tranche of suppliers for the panel
The total now comprises more than 70 suppliers.
The first and second tranches were announced in February.
The panel has an initial two-year term, but could be extended by another four years.
The establishment of the whole-of-government panel follows the launch last year of an updated government cloud policy.
Under the policy, government agencies must adopt cloud where it is "fit for purpose, provides adequate protection of data and delivers value for money" when obtaining new ICT services or replacing existing services.
