Guangdong Macro Economy Competitiveness Ranks No. 1 in China

How do Chinese provinces change in comprehensive economic competitiveness in recent years? On March 2, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences released the Blue Paper of Report on Chinese Provinces’ Development in Comprehensive Economic Competitiveness (2013-2014) to rank the 31 provincial administrative zones’ comprehensive economic competitiveness in 2012 and 2013. According to the Blue Paper, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Beijing continued their top three positions in comprehensive economic competitiveness in 2013.
 
Guangdong is one of the top three concerning six core indicators, namely, macro economy competitiveness, knowledge economy competitiveness, governmental effect competitiveness, industrial economy competitiveness, financial work competitiveness and development level competitiveness. In particular, Guangdong ranks the No. 1 in macro economy competitiveness, said the Blue Paper.
 
According to the Blue Paper, in 2013, provinces ranking high concerning economic comprehensive competitiveness include Jiangsu, Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian and Hubei.
