Guangzhou to Implement 14 “Finance Plus” plans

The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou recently issued the Three-Year Action Plan of Guangzhou for Development of Modern Financial Service System (2016-2018), aiming to further promoting the integration of the financial sector and the economic and social sectors by implementing 14 “Finance Plus” Plans and, by 2018, enable the added value of the finance industry to reach more than RMB250 billion and its proportion in local GDP to raise from 9% in 2015 to about 11%.
 
It was learnt that, the 14 “Finance Plus” Plans include: “Finance Plus International S&T Innovation Hub”, “Finance Plus International Shipping Hub”, “Finance Plus International Air Transport Hub”, “Finance Plus Internet”, “Finance Plus Free Trade Zone”, “Finance Plus One River, Two Banks and Three Belts” “Finance Plus Business and Consumption”, “Finance Plus E-Business”, “Finance Plus Advanced Manufacturing”, “Finance Plus Culture and Creative”, “Finance Plus Green Ecology”, “Finance Plus Headquarters Economy”, “Finance Plus Private Economy” and “Finance Plus Benefiting the Public and Farmers”.
 
The Action Plan proposes to continuously enhance support and encourage Guangzhou’s science and technology enterprises at different development stages to seek and get financial support through diversified channels, such as the main board, SMEs board, second board, new third board and regional equity exchange markets as well as crowd funding platforms. It is expected that, by 2018, there will have been more than 150 listed enterprises (including more than 130 science and technology enterprises) in Guangzhou, and more than 500 enterprises listed on new third board.
