On May 13, Guangzhou and more than 100 Australian enterprises made exchanges at Sydney Opera House. Enterprises of Guangzhou were mainly from electronic information, bio-medicine, cross-border E-commerce, investment and other sectors. Australian participants included Australian Trade and Investment Commission, the University of Sydney, Westpac Bank and China Chamber of Commerce in Australia etc. Cao Zhicong, inspector of Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce, addressed the meeting, introduced the situation of Guangzhou and welcomed entrepreneurs of Sydney to carry out cooperation with those of Guangzhou. Representatives of Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce introduced the economic and social development situation, business environment, industrial basis and new investment and trade opportunities of Guangzhou from all aspects. Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment Development Company focused on the introduction of the main characteristics, innovation policies and development direction of the Knowledge City. Wang Dong, vice mayor of Guangzhou, came to the meeting and had close talks with entrepreneurs. Wang encouraged Guangzhou enterprises to actively communicate with their Sydney counterparts, seek cooperation opportunities and promote the economic and trade exchanges between the two cities.
