Guangzhou Cooperates with New Zealand in Innovations and Startups

On the afternoon of May 16, Wang Dong, vice mayor of Guangzhou, accompanied by Len Brown, mayor of Auckland, visited GridAKL Sci-tech Park and unveiled InnoHub New Zealand and Chinese Innovation Center New Zealand. Witnessed by the mayors, Guangzhou Science Technology and Innovation Commission signed a cooperation memorandum with Chinese Innovation Center New Zealand to jointly build Guangzhou-New Zealand Innovation and Startup Cooperation Express, support the settlement of New Zealand’s high-tech companies, technicians and returned students in Guangzhou, help Guangzhou’s innovation capital and enterprises to expand business in New Zealand, promote exchanges and visits of sci-tech and innovation persons, jointly create scientific and economic entities or projects through Sino-Singapore cooperation and boost the international sci-tech innovation and cooperation between Guangzhou and Auckland. Meanwhile, Chinese Innovation Center New Zealand signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Intellectual Property Right Office.
