Recently, the Industry and Information Commission and the Financial Bureau of Guangzhou jointly issued the Management Method for the Earmarked Fund for Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Construction in Guangzhou (the Method), saying that each charging station built in Guangzhou can get a subsidy up to RMB3.0 million.

 

According to the Methods, the scope of the subsidy includes the structures for charging facilities, the charging equipment like charging piles (machines) and relevant electric facilities connected with upstream power excluding land fee. Guangzhou will offer financial subsidy of 30% to the total investment (excluding land fee). The subsidy will not exceed the upper limit of various subsidies.

 

The subsidy limits of the charging facilities, based on their functions and installations, are as follows: RMB 3.0 million to one dedicated charging station for buses, taxies and logistics vehicles, RMB 900 thousand to one charging pile at public charging stations; RMB 120 thousand to a separate DC charging pile; and RMB 6,000 to a separate AC charging pile.
