Guangdong Issues China’s First Certificate of Origin for Overseas Warehouse Goods

The overseas warehouse goods from South Korea of a chemicals company in Guangdong was granted the first certificate of origin under China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement, giving the company US$6,329 of tariff reduction. The China’s first “overseas warehouse” certificate of origin, granted by Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to the company within the administration (excluding Zhuhai and Shenzhen) involves goods valuing US$97,400, said Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on June 15.
The so-called “overseas warehouse” refers to the practice that enterprises export goods to the overseas warehouse in batch in line with the general trade procedure and deliver the goods to the overseas customers and consumers upon receiving orders.
