Foreign Entrepreneurs Confident in China’s Innovation Environment

The Summer Davos 2016 was held in Tianjin from June 26 to 28, themed on “The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Its Transformational Impact”. For days entrepreneurs from home and abroad shared their views on the industrial revolution at different sub-forums. They clicked “Like” on China’s innovation environment.
On June 27, Uber founder and CEO Travis Cordell Kalanick, joint chair of this Annual Meeting of the New Champions, shared his view on “sharing economy”. He said the Chinese government held an open attitude to innovation and entrepreneurship, resulting in the emergence of startup ecosystem, innovation enterprises and entrepreneurs in Beijing comparable with that in the Silicon Valley.
Hugh Martin, CEO of Sensity Systems of the United States, held similar ideas. He said Sensity is confident in China’s economic growth and is jointly funding a company with the Chinese Academy of Science in Guangzhou, aiming at the Internet of Things. “China will be our largest market in the following 10 years.”
