On the afternoon of August 12, Guangzhou Big Data Expert Think Tank was formally established under the leadership and direction of the Big Data Administration of the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangzhou Municipality and the promotion of Guangzhou Big Data Industry Association. More than 50 experts and scholars, including academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, national Cloud computing experts and principle investigator of Tianhe-2 project, join in it to provide support for the development of the big data industry of Guangzhou with their wisdom.

 

The expert think tank was established after a process of visits to big data experts, selection and preparation that lasted for half a year. The core team consists of more than 50 members, including Zhong Shizhen, a pioneer in the development of “digital human”, “digital medicine” and 3D printing of human skeleton technologies, founder of clinical human anatomy and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Zhao Gansen, doctor of Cloud computing and safety, tenured senior engineer of Oracle UK and member of the Cloud Computing Experts Association of Chinese Institute of Electronics, Xu Chaohan, leader of the expert group of the Smart City Specialized Committee of Guangdong, and Professor Yin Jian, principle investigator of Tianhe-2 project and expert in data mining and knowledge discovery. Zhong Shizhen was proposed as chairman of the big data think tank.
