The blueprint of Guangzhou International Shipping Center was finally publicized. Recently the Three-Year Action Plan for Construction of Guangzhou International Shipping Center (2015-2017) (the Action Plan) was officially released to the public on the official website of Guangzhou municipal government. According to the Action Plan, Guangzhou will initiatively adapt to the new normal of economic development. It will make the smart international shipping hub and the new business type of “Internet + shipping + finance” two strategic strongholds of building Guangzhou International Shipping Center, give play to the superposed advantages of the “seaport” and “airport”, and pool all forces of the city to develop Guangzhou International Shipping Center to create a structure with mutually integrated functions of the international shipping center, logistics center, trading center and financial service system. The Action Plan shows that Guangzhou will build 60 projects centering on the international shipping center with investment amounting to more than RMB100 billion and support the establishment of Guangzhou Maritime University.
