Recently Guangdong issued the Opinions on Deeply Promoting Trade Liberation in Services among Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong (the Opinions). The Opinions consists of four chapters, and defines the general requirements, missions and guarantee measures of the next step closely centering on the involved services fields. In consideration of CEPA, pioneering policies and actual situation of Guangdong in further promoting cooperation, it suggests 27 key tasks on strengthening cooperation in commercial services, financial services, communications and information services, education services, health services, cultural and entertainment services, tourism services, and other professional services and deepening administrative system reform.

 

Meanwhile, the Opinions put forwards to mainly promoting construction of the key demonstration bases of Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone and Trade Liberation in Services so as to take a lead in making breakthroughs in the key fields and vulnerable points of the trade in services.

 

In the next step, Guangdong will give priority to establishment of the key demonstration base of trade liberation in services among Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong, actively develop new carriers of deepening cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, timely summarize the working achievements and relevant experiences and practice to form Guangdong Experience that can be duplicated and promoted and offer demonstration and reference for basically realizing trade liberation in services between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macao this year.
