Recently, Ren Xuefeng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and Guangzhou Party Chief, met with Dr. Bernd Montag, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siemens Healthcare, who came to Guangzhou to attend the agreement signing ceremony for the memorandum of cooperation between Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holding Limited and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Center.

 

Ren welcomed Dr. Bernd and his companions. He said Siemens Healthcare Group is a world leading medical instrument and technology enterprise and one of the world’s largest diagnostics companies. Guangzhou, an important medical center of South China, has a good foundation and a high need for developing the high-end medical services. The cooperation between both parties will enjoy broad prospects. At present Guangzhou is actively adapting to the Made in China 2025 and Internet + strategy by making use of the opportunity of formulating the 13^th Five-Year Plan, deeply implementing the “dual-wheel driven strategy” of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing to promote concentration and development of biomedicine, health and medical instrument manufacturing and other industries, and trying to build a modern industrial system. He hopes Siemens Healthcare Group to give play to its advantage and expand cooperation in Guangzhou.
