Yesterday, the news briefing for the 13^th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) was held in Guangzhou. It was learnt that the 13^th CISMEF will be held in Guangzhou from October 10 to 27.

 

Zhong Xuanhui, secretary general of the Organizing Committee of the CISMEF and deputy secretary general of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, made an introduction to the preparation for the 13^th CISMEF at the news briefing. A breakthrough has been made in internationalized organization of the 13^th CISMEF, namely that it is for the first time that China cooperates with Côte d'Ivoire, which is an African country, and India, which is a member of the BRICS, to sponsor the CISMEF. The 13^th CISMEF themed on “Smartness, Intelligence, Smart Manufacturing and Energy Saving” includes 4,600 international standard stands, covering total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters. It was said that, with increasingly expanded international influence, the CISMEF this year will attract the most overseas government delegations in the history. A number of countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, India, South Africa, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Kenya, Burma, Mexico, Vietnam, Russia and Poland, will send official delegations to attend it.

 

The 13^th CISMEF will be held at two venues during different periods. From October 10 to 13, the themed overseas and domestic exhibitions, the energy saving exhibition as well as the exhibition of smart manufacturing of textiles and garments will be held at PWTC Expo. From October 16 to 20 and from October 24 to 27, the intelligent building material and home furnishing exhibition and the smart manufacturing and equipment exhibition will be held at Guangzhou International Sourcing Centre.

 

Zhong Xuanhui said that the First International Industrial Cooperation and Investment Negotiation Fair will be one of the highlights of the 13^th CISMEF. In addition, an exhibition area for cross-border e-business will be set up for the first time to give a panoramic presentation of China’s industrial chain of e-business, aiming to integrate domestic and overseas cross-border e-business resources to promote the integration of cross-border e-business and traditional industries and propel the transformation and upgrading of the SMEs. There will be four pavilions, including those for exporters, importers, comprehensive service providers and international exhibitors, and a forum zone.

 

It was learnt that, 20 best projects will be selected from 3,000 nominated projects for the 2016 “China Maker” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to attend the on-site roadshow and exhibition at the final during the CISMEF. Moreover, there will be 17 various splendid forums and activities, including the China Summit of Cross-border E-business Leaders, the Green Industrial Technology Summit, the Summit of Leaders in Smart Apparel and Accessories, and the 3^rd Summit of Leaders of the Building Material and Home Furnishing Industries along “the Belt and Road” and in the Pan-Pearl River Delta (9+2) Region.
