Nansha to Establish Cross-Border O2O Wholesale Platform

It was learnt from Cross-border Business Salon of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Nansha held in Guangzhou on October 13 that, Nansha is planning to launch the project to establish China’s first large-scale cross-border O2O platform for wholesales of import commodities.
Since 2013, when Guangzhou was designated as a pilot city for development of cross-border e-business, the cross-border e-business has had a fast development in Nansha. At the end of 2014, there were only more than 10 enterprises registered with competent port supervision authority of Nansha to deal with cross-border e-business, and the number of reviewed lists for import only reached 31,000, with a total value of only RMB22 million. By the end of August 2016, there had been 916 enterprises engaged in this field, with 120,000 registered commodities. From January to August, the total number of reviewed lists for warehousing had reached 3,643, while the number of e-lists for import had reached 8.5863 million, with a total value of RMB1.615 billion, up 241% year-on-year.
