China Sees YoY GDP Growth of 6.9% in the First Three Quarters

In the first quarters of 2015, under the difficult circumstance with weaker-than-expected global economic recovery and increasing domestic economic downturn, the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council, from the domestic and international perspectives, adopted a numbers of measures, including making scientific arrangement to stabilize growth, promote reform, propel restructuring, improve people’s livelihood and prevent from risks, and carrying out effective range control, oriented control and flexible control to further deepen the reform and opening-up, promote innovation and entrepreneurship by all and provide more public products and services. Thanks to these efforts, a stable overall economic operation was kept and the trend for a better development was shown.
Preliminary estimation indicated that, in the first three quarters of 2015, China’s GDP reached RMB48777.4 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 6.9% on basis of calculation in comparable price. The GDP in the first quarter had a year-on-year increase of 7.0%, and 7.0% in the second quarter and 6.9% in the third quarter. The added value of the primary industry reached RMB3919.5 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 3.8%, while that of the secondary industry reached RMB19779.9 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 6.0%, and that of the tertiary industry reached RMB25077.9 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 8.4%. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the GDP in the third quarter increased by 1.8%.
