On November 2, Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce announced that, following that Guangzhou fully launched the reform for “One Certificate and One Code” among the domestic enterprises on September 1, since November 1, the resident representative offices of foreign enterprises in Guangzhou (hereinafter referred to as “the representative offices”) have joined in the reform for “One Certificate and One Code”.

 

The representative offices refer to the offices established by foreign enterprises in China in accordance with the Regulation on the Administration of Registration of Resident Representative Offices of Foreign Enterprises to deal with the non-profit activities related to the foreign enterprises. Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce said that, since the implementation of the Reform and Opening-up polices, the representative offices have played an important role in helping Guangzhou attract foreign investment and promote economic cooperation and communication with foreign parties. The expansion of reform for “One Certificate and One Code” to the representative offices will greatly promote the development of the representative offices.

 

It was said that, since November 1, 2015, the authorities of Guangzhou for administration of industry and commerce and market supervision and management have begun to issue unified registration certificate with social credit code to take the place of the original organization code certificate and tax registration certificate to the representative offices applying for registration for establishment, changes and renewal. New standards for application documents of these representative have been adopted. New guides for these representative offices are available on site (www.gzaic.gov.cn).
