Guangzhou Has 300 Enterprises Listed on New Third Board

Up to November 4, 2016, Guangzhou has had 300 enterprises listed on the New Third Board, including 156 newly listed this year, 2.4 times as many as that in the previous year, and higher than the national average level.
 
It was learnt that, Guangzhou has 35 innovation-oriented enterprises, ranking first among the provincial capitals of the whole country in terms of number of such enterprises. This year, 156 enterprises based in Guangzhou were listed on the New Third Board, and 32 to be listed. At such a speed, Guangzhou has gone farther to approach the goal of to have 200 enterprises newly listed on the New Third Board this year.
 
Among the districts of Guangzhou, Tianhe District takes the first place with 87 enterprises listed on the New Third Board. The GDD (including Huangpu District) takes the second place with 75 such enterprises. The other districts showed a large difference from these two districts, generally with 20 to 30 such enterprises.
 
Tianhe District and Haizhu District have over-fulfilled the tasks for the increase of such enterprises in 2016. Tianhe District aimed to increase such enterprises by 30 this year and actually realized an increase of 54. Haizhu District aimed to increase such enterprises by 10 and actually realized an increase of 11.
 
Outside the stock markets of Shanghai and Shenzhen, the accelerated development of the New Third Board provides opportunities for innovative SMEs to enter the capital market.
 
Early this month, the New Third Board Enterprises Roadshow Center was established at Guangzhou Equity Exchange. It will serve as a roadshow site for New Third Board enterprises on a regular basis and provide an investment and financing matching platform. It was learnt that, the center was established as an investment and financing matching platform to put the national innovation-driven development strategy into practice and promote the New Third Board enterprises of Guangzhou to enter the capital market. It will rely on Guangzhou Equity Exchange to provide regular roadshow services. For the next step, it will integrate related resources and enhance cooperation for cultivation of backup enterprises, supervision of listed enterprises, development of fixed income products, construction of regional equity markets, investor education and publicity and talent training to contribute to the construction of stable and sound multilevel capital markets of Guangzhou.
 
“Currently, Guangzhou has 98 enterprises applying for being listed on the New Third Board, showing high enthusiasm,” said a person in charge of the Guangzhou Sci-Tech Finance Comprehensive Service Center. The districts are racing each other in terms of the number of such enterprises.
