Guangzhou Ranks No. 2 in China Government by Law Evaluation

On December 14, China Government by Law Evaluation Report 2015 was issued in Beijing. Guangzhou scored 772.58 points, 155.22 points higher than the national average (617.36), ranking the 2nd in the country. Guangzhou had a high rank in administrative decision-making, institutional function, system development and some other aspects.
Research Center for Government by Law at China University of Political Science and Law started China Government by Law Evaluation in 2013. Guangzhou had ranked the 1st in 2013 and 2014.
The program evaluated the government by law of 100 cities in 2014 based on 9 primary indicators, namely, public satisfaction survey, institution function, organizing of law-based administration, governmental system construction, administrative decision, administrative law enforcement, governmental information publicity, supervision and accountability, and solution of social contradictions and administrative disputes, 26 secondary indicators and 72 tertiary ones with a total score of 1,000 points. The top 10 cities in the score list are Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, Xiamen, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Dongguan, Changsha, Quanzhou and Chengdu.
