App lets consumers try on jewelry virtually
Release time:2020-12-11

An application that allows people to try on jewelry virtually was featured at the 2020 BAZAAR Jewelry International Designer Salon in Shanghai Powerlong Museum on Dec 10.

Called AISee Jewel, the app allows visitors to try on jewelry such as rings, necklaces and earrings from brands it collaborates with. Visitors simply need to take a photo of the jewelry using their mobile devices.

Launched in 2019, AISee Jewel has to date partnered with six domestic and foreign jewelry brands. The company was also a participant in this year's China International Import Expo.

"Customers can see whether a piece of jewelry suits them by using this app. The app is useful because some pieces are expensive and cannot be worn," said Qian Zhongjie, sales director of AISee JEWEL.

"Buying jewelry is not the same as buying clothing. At present, the overall jewelry industry does not provide a good try-on experience. We hope to give customers a practical and better experience when choosing jewelry."

Qian added that the company is currently trying to strike a partnership with luxury brands Cartier and Bulgari.

The 2020 BAZAAR Jewelry International Designer Salon, which will end on Dec 13, is featuring 34 jewelry designers who have brought more than 1,000 exquisite jewelry pieces for the salon.
