China's move of revising its Catalogue of Technologies Prohibited and Restricted for Export does not target a specific industry, said the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday. 

Shu Jueting, the ministry's spokeswoman, said the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Science and Technology have revised the catalogue in accordance with related government regulation and law. They recently concluded the public consultation process.

During the consultation process, feedback was received on entries such as photovoltaic-related technologies. The next step will be to discuss and study them in conjunction with relevant government branches to incorporate reasonable suggestions, she said.
